The reason these journal entries exist is because of the black outs he had at a young age, and he needed a way to remember things that happened. The movie is filled with plot points that will keep you on the edge of your seat, and will have you feeling sorry for the character Ashton plays because he realizes the consequences that come with wanting to have the perfect future. He loses best friends, romances, parents. It’s all wrapped up into a beautifully dark film, with an ending that will leave you stunned.
